Ok, so maybe the recruiters aren't scouting out the Kerr's...just yet. But, basketball season is off and running and we're having lots of fun around here. Although she hasn't really ever played before (does 2nd grade rec league in Cleveland Heights count? Admittedly, her coaches were stellar (me coaching from the sidelines while pushing Brynnley back and forth in her stroller), but, still, she lacked experience compared to all of her teammates.
And yet, she managed to earn herself a starting position and has continued to improve with each game. What she might lack in talent or experience, she more than makes up for in determination and desire.
Tuesday was her best game -- scoring 8 points and numerous rebounds. So far, the team is 4-1. Now, if only she didn't come home each night detailing a new injury....
I could never have imagined how fun it would be to watch my kids play...
