Should this really take 45 minutes?

Look closely and see if you can figure out what is wrong with these pictures. Oh, what's that? It's obvious the dishes are dirty? Good observation. Now would be the ideal time to tell you that this is how I found the CLEAN dishes after Brynnley had dish duty.

Pay particular attention to the sippy cup in exhibit #1...Yes, you are viewing that correctly...the lid is still on. I guess she thinks that the soap lemonade (see exhibit #2) is perfectly acceptable. As for the chocolate in the plastic container...well, let's just say, "not quite cutting it."

As if having to inspect each and every dish isn't time consuming enough...interruptions such as, "Mom! I can't find my other shoe," and "Mom! I need a snack," and "MOM! Did you fill out my field trip permission form?" only add to the process. Oh, and did I mention the delays of getting breakfast for Cambrie, straightening someone's (or many someone's) hair, finding yet another shoe, checking the computer to see about the weather, checking the calendar to see what the day holds, mixed in with yet another, "MOM! My bus is coming!"

Who says that multi-tasking is a good thing?

PS - As I attempted to post this, a certain someone who shall remain nameless is reading over my shoulder, critiquing my grammar and my writing. No wonder this is taking 5 times longer than it should.

7 children and the Indians

I got all sorts of crazy looks when I walked into the game with 7 children. Good thing we were meeting Greg and Ted there.

Shin Soo Choo -- Cannon's favorite player.

Although we didn't feel overly appreciated at the Indian's Fan Appreciation night, we managed to have a good time at the game. And hey -- they won -- always a nice bonus.

The golf stunk

But the raffle prize was good.

Brian Head

Brynnley's 7th Birthday

Sunday was Brynnley's 7th Birthday. She had to wait patiently through church...and until I got home from Chicago. (Had it not been for her birthday, I would have taken a later flight and spent more time in Chicago with my dad, brother and niece!)
It wasn't technically a "party year," (aka - -an even birthday), but with our crew, Beards and G & G Kerr - it's always a party.

A day of firsts

Kenzie started preschool and soccer on the same day. We've been counting down to both events for quite awhile. After the hours and hours she has spent being hauled to/from soccer games, watching in the rain, snow and heat...it only seemed fair that she finally gets a chance to play. Lucky me -- now I've got 4 kids on 4 teams. I'm almost giddy as I think of the fun we'll have over the next 6 weeks!

Apparently, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" teaches that it's only cool to wear your backpack over one shoulder. Kenzie kept trying that - -but had the backpack backwards. Finally, I convinced her to just put it on the right way so that we could get our picture and move on.

Just because...

These aren't Kenzie's first day of school pictures -- she doesn't start preschool 'till Wednesday. I just liked them. She is a free spirit for sure.

Has the world gone completely mad?

Something is seriously out of whack with the universe.
We have been home from vacation for 1.5 weeks and I haven't even looked at our pictures?!?
What.The.Heck?
Granted, we have more than 1100 (yes, that does say eleven hundred...or one thousand, one hundred) of them.
And they are all on Greg's laptop. The laptop which has been at work with him for the past 1.5 weeks.
I asked  him to send them via MobileMe.
That wasn't happening. We've concluded Mobileme is great for a few items -- not 1100 pictures.
Sigh.
I might just have to hi-jack the computer when Greg is home this weekend. Assuming he is home this weekend.

In the meantime, I could and should post pictures of the first days of school -- since most of the kids started last week.

If only I could find the cord.

I think it is with Greg and his laptop.
