FIVE

It's good that Kenzie is too young to realize that her birthday sort of got squeezed into the midst of a million other things. It was a crazy, odd week. We had our normal busy schedules...school, church, sports...
Then we had dentist appointments, doctor appointments, taxes to finish, our anniversary and the pinewood derby. And sadly, in a strange turn of events, we had two ladies in the ward pass away last week. That, combined with my Sacrament talk on Using Time Wisely made for an exceptionally tiring week.
Somehow though, we managed cake and a birthday celebration on Sunday afternoon with Grandma and the Beards. Kenzie was a happy birthday girl and it all worked out. We are so thankful for our little Kenzi Cola and the joy she brings into our lives on a daily basis. We told her that Saturday night was her last night to disobey...that 5-year-olds were never naughty. Unfortunately, that "teaching" didn't stick with her...she did ok yesterday but it was all out the window tonight at Cannon's baseball practice.
