This Is Why I Need Maid Service

I'm not laughing about this...yet. But hey, if it helps you have a good day....

Given that we have out of town friends visiting this weekend, I thought it might be a good idea to clear a path through the war-zone, otherwise known as our house. I was wrong. Clearing one path only makes way for more disaster. Clearly, Kenzie had other ideas regarding how to prepare for our guests.

The pictures say it all.

OH MY GOSH! I would have been screaming! How did you ever take pictures? I am not looking forward to the time when Kate can open up stuff! I am not laughing either! Nail polish is so hard to remove!

Hair spray and some elbow grease really does work to get it out of clothing. It's too bad that things like that always happen at the least inopportune (I hope I spelled that right) moment. Well come to think about it - is there aver an appropriate time?

You get Mom of the Year award because I see that she's still alive! I don't know what I would do! I'm glad you got pictures so you can laugh later.

Do you remember when we got nail polish spilled on the floor of our bedroom in Omaha? It was red nail polish on light grey carpet, but after we got it out, you couldn't even tell.... I'm thinking it was vinegar that we used? Mom would probably remember for sure.

Good luck!

Yes, I very much remember that -- it was right after we moved into our new house. Mom told me I was going to have to pay for new carpet for our room. I thought we used rubbing alcohol...and I've been trying that all day. It's lighter -- but no where near gone. I might have to try vinegar.

Tacie, I'm so sorry! Brooklynn did that too, but it was on the kitchen floor so I just had to use a bunch of nail polish remover and a lot of scrubbing...but still! And why is it always the deep colors that they use?? Why couldn't they spill the clear coat or something??

I wouldn't be laughing either! I found this tip on line, hopefully it helps:)
Things You’ll Need:
Nail Polish Remover
Goof Off
Carpet Stain Removers
Peroxide
Carpet Brush
Baking Soda
Elbow Greese
Step1: Scrub the Nail Polish stain with peroxide. Peroxide will remove many fresh stains and is a popular method for removing blood.
Step2: Next try baking soda. Baking soda is also great for getting oily stains out.
Step3: There are some products on the market that claim to remove nail polish stains. Try these with caution. Try using them in a corner or closet to make sure they will not remove the dye from your carpet before using on the stain.
Step4: If all else fails try a Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover. Again test in a closet first before putting directly on the stain.

Upon first glance, I thought it was blood and I was about to freak out! I guess I'll put combination locks on everything when Clara starts crawling :)
